Mitch joined the First Five Nebraska policy team after working for eight years at the Nebraska Legislature. He served District 18 as an administrative assistant under Senator Brett Lindstrom before working as a legislative aide under Senator John Stinner of District 48, and research analyst for the Appropriations Committee under Senator Stinner’s role as Appropriations Committee Chair. During his time at the Legislature, he worked on public policy including state and federal funding, economic and workforce development, mental and behavioral health and early childhood education. Prior to his time at the Legislature, he volunteered for various campaigns and worked in business.

Mitch received his Master of Science in Human Resources from the University of Scranton in Pennsylvania. He received his Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, with a focus in marketing and English.

Mitch and his wife, Krista, live in Lincoln with their dog, Cooper. They enjoy exploring new picnicking spots and hosting loved ones in their home. Mitch likes to spend his free time in the great outdoors hiking and hunting, studying history and philosophy, and volunteering at his church and Habitat for Humanity.
