Jodi-Renee began her career facilitating and organizing community-based diversion programs for youth at risk in Denver where she also worked with a city initiative to address access and inequality issues through art and community gatherings. In the suburbs of Ann Arbor, Mich., Jodi-Renee was an active part of community engagement and outreach for the Prisoner Reentry Program, violence prevention programs and supporting teen mothers.

Since moving to Lincoln in 2016, she has worked in refugee resettlement, arts access conversations and—most recently—was part of the Community Learning Centers team in Lincoln Public Schools. Along with her role on UNL Extension’s Health Equity Task Force, she continues to speak and teach on ways to increase accessibility and inclusion in education and in the arts.
