Jodi-Renee began her career facilitating and organizing community-based diversion programs for youth-at-risk in Denver where she also worked with a city initiative to address access and inequality issues through art and community gatherings. In the suburbs of Ann Arbor, Mich., Jodi-Renee was an active part of community engagement and outreach for the Prisoner Reentry Program, violence prevention programs and supporting teen mothers.

Since moving to Lincoln in 2016, she has worked in refugee resettlement, arts access conversations, and—most recently—part of the Community Learning Centers team in Lincoln Public Schools. Along with her role on UNL Extension’s Health Equity Task Force, she continues to speak and teach on ways to increase accessibility and inclusion in education and in the arts.

Jodi-Renee studied American history at Metropolitan State University in Denver and pursued a master’s degree in cultural engagement at Denver Seminary. She also holds Certificates from the University of Michigan in Organizing for Social Justice and Determinants of Social Health.
