Nancy’s main focus is First Five Nebraska’s digital communications, including social media, website, newsletters and blog. She has worked in book, magazine and newspaper editing, including as a senior editor of illustrated history books and editor-in-chief of PC Today monthly magazine. She was a copy editor for the Lincoln Journal where she also wrote a consumer assistance column and website editor for the Omaha World-Herald. Prior to joining First Five Nebraska, Nancy worked in communications for the Nebraska Forest Service and the Nebraska Library Commission, and as a freelance editor for Random House, Better Homes & Gardens, the Nebraska Center for the Book, the Nebraska Tax Research Council, the Nebraska Supreme Court and independent book projects.

She received an M.B.A. from the University of Nebraska–Lincoln, a certificate from the University of Denver Publishing Institute and a B.A. in English/journalism from Colorado State University.

Nancy and her husband, Paul, have a daughter who is embarking on a teaching career. Two spoiled cats and one spoiled dog rule their household.
