Explore Nebraska this Summer

by | Jun 2, 2016

If you’re looking for a family-friendly adventure this summer, check out the 2016 Nebraska Passport program. Featuring 80 stops on 10 themed tours across the state, Nebraska Passport is an opportunity to explore our state while earning stamps and prizes.

Governor Pete Ricketts released a video highlighting some of this year’s stops.

Travelers have through September 30 to visit the attractions; passports are available at the stops or participants can download a mobile app and receive digital stamps.

Among the tours we think may appeal to children are Find Your Park, with stops at fossil beds and state historical parks; Earth & Sky featuring a planetarium, chalk mine, a 25,000-square-foot agricultural exhibit and the Strategic Air and Space Museum; and Rise Above─eight destinations that bust the myth that Nebraska is flat.
