The business of child care is essential in all communities, and during this challenging time, the child care industry needs to be stronger than ever.

When the Nebraska Early Childhood Collaborative (NECC) hosted its first business summit for child care providers last year, it was a tremendous success with current and prospective providers from 35 Nebraska counties and speakers from across the U.S. all converging in York, Neb. As work began on the second act of this business-focused event, it was quickly understood that Elevate20 would look very different amidst the COVID-19 pandemic.

While Elevate20 is still a business conference designed specifically to meet the needs of family child care homes and child care centers, for the health and safety of all, the conference is happening online and on-demand this year and is available through September 12.

5 breakout options
The new virtual format allows providers to participate in Elevate20 at their own convenience and most importantly, at no cost. Five breakout sessions featuring industry experts and early childhood professionals cover the following business topics: Technology, Human Resources, Marketing, Leadership and Finances. Providers who complete 4 out of 5 available hours will receive a certificate for in-service hours.

The pandemic has placed an unprecedented amount of physical, mental and financial stress on child care providers. Elevate20 offers insight and expertise that will allow child care providers to continue building their business and their ability to provide high-quality early care and education to Nebraska’s children, while battling the current public health crisis.

The NECC team and our partners on the Elevate Planning Committee are committed to supporting the essential contribution child care providers make to Nebraska’s economy and the health and well-being of our families.
